Joining R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril X

Alright, I'm in.  I've never participated in RIP before, so now that it's in it's tenth year - I think I'll give it a go.  It actually started yesterday (September 1) and runs through October 31, and the idea is to read books that lean toward the mysterious, the suspenseful, and the thrilling horror that helps get in the mood for fall.  This event was started on the Stainless Steel Droppings, but is hosted this year by Estella Society.

So now, what do I want to set as my goal?  There are several levels...  but I think I'm going to go with the middle ground:

This means I am going to read 2 books of any length that I feel fits the mood of the event.

One of those books is going to be Gone Girl as it has been on my TBR Challenge list for two years in a row now.  I have no idea what the other book will be.....   I have some interesting YA horror on my shelf right now.  But I do want to read more Stephen King too.  And of course there is the most recent Tana French that I haven't read yet!  Decisions, decisions....

Does this sound like an event you'd like to participate in?  (There is a level for reading one book, another for short stories, still another for watching a movie or TV series)  There is also a Group Read-a-Long planned!  If you'l like more info and/or to sign up, click HERE.

Gone Girl is definitely a great choice for this challenge! I am planning on participating as well but I haven't written up my post yet. Have fun and I hope you enjoy Gone Girl!
