Book Review: "A Wrinkle in Time" Madeleine L'Engle

This was one of my favorite books when I was younger; I couldn't tell you how many times I've read it.  It had been many years though since the last time, and very happily reread it recently.

This was first published in 1962, but it doesn't feel dated at all.  If anything, some of the verbiage used in the dialogue might give the age of the text away, but it doesn't at the same time.

I fell right in with Meg Murray again.  I had felt such a strong connection to her when I was younger, and I still feel it today.  Meg was a bit of an outcast at school at the social aspects were hard for her.  I loved that in this book, what she has always seen as her personal faults are exactly what makes her strong.  And of course, love is what wins in the end.

This is a classic middle grade science fiction novel that still resonates with me.  I'll always treasure it.
