DREAMING ABOUT THE PERFECT BACHELORETTE NIGHT

Sep 19, 2018 by

Do you want to have the best bachelorette night? Not all bachelorette parties include men in pants. Notwithstanding, not every bride’s want a tea party either. Once you agree on the party’s location, start the organizing process by asking the bride what she will like her bachelorette to look like, her likes and dislikes. You may be shocked finding that your wild friend doesn’t have interest in barhopping, or your quiet friend wants to put on a mini dress all the time. Then you may be tempted in asking the rest of the guests for preferences or ideas. Take this into consideration. While getting a trusted bridesmaid or friend to help with the planning process could be helpful. Unless you are planning on scheduling some wild activities which might freak out some of the guests (such as tattoos, group, skydiving), assume that the bride’s attendees will go along with whatever you come up with. Are you planning the bachelorette party? Here’s how you can get it right.

BUDGET THOUGHTFULLY

It is best to consult the group with the total cost for the party and suggest that individuals contact you with any their various opinions. Within reason, adjust your arrangements to fit the tiniest budget. From this point, one of the simplest ways of handling resources is asking individual attendees to pay the organizer in advance for meals, bridesmaid activities, hotel, transportation, fun decorations, activities, and other activities. This helps to avoid receiving emails from people you owe and the inevitable embarrassment when someone person does not want to share the dinner bill equally.

 ADD THE FUN STUFF

With the main stuff taken care of, it is time to begin filling in the information. Make proper arrangements on the type of meal and hotel, add any additional site-specific activity and following that, consider some of these recommended ideas:

 GAMES

Take part in fun games while the party is going on to keep the fun going, some tame and sweet. Ask the groom some questions (How did you two meet? Who said I love you first? Who sucks more at driving?). And leave his bride to be trying to guess the answers (good when it’s a low-key dinner or when chilling out between events); give each attendee some cards with few dares for the soon to be bride such as hugging a stranger, removing her shoes to singing a romantic love song to her fiancé and allow them perform these dares when they are ready.

 PHOTO OPS

Taking pictures is just about what everyone wants at their bachelorette. But think of working in some smart decorations, props, gifts, or activities which are bound bring people together for a  picture opportunity. Begin with decorations which will either portrait backdrops or drunken hilarity for group photos. Gift the bridesmaids with matching costumes or gear, or have a dares involving the bride dressing up in some funny clothes. Or make crafts such as designing flower crowns with faux or real blooms for the weekend.

ALWAYS REMEMBER THE DECORATIONS

Wherever you decide to host the party, some beautiful decorations will help. This is an area where completely going over the limit is totally encouraged. If you are having a two-day affair, consider beginning the first night with romantic decorations and putting a ladylike tea party decoration on the next.

How I Earn a Living From Home Selling Books

Aug 2, 2017 by

There’s so many ways to make money these days, it’s nearly impossible not to find something that suits you. Whether you have a genuine interest in reading or not, you can make a healthy living selling books right from your own home. Back when I used to work on book, I could make enough to quit my day job after 3 months. Of course, this definitely isn’t a get-rich-quick sort of business, but plenty of people have found success reselling books in order to make a living. So what do you need to know to get started?

Make Money from Home

There are posts all over the internet with information about how to make money from home. Some of them are legitimate, while others are a bit of a “stretch,” to put it nicely. Fortunately, selling books right from your own home is truly a legitimate way to not only make money but to earn a living. But why should you sell books in particular?

First and foremost, books are, for the most part, reusable and valuable. Secondly, no matter whether you’re based in a bustling city like New York City in the United States or a small settlement like Waterloo in New South Wales, Australia, you can make however much money you want, as long as you put in the work. Books are universal in that just about anyone, anywhere is interested in them. Not to mention the variety of subjects out there.

Instead of allowing hundreds, if not thousands of books to simply go to waste, why not turn them into a profit through a little bit of hard work?

How to Sell Books for Money

Perhaps the hardest part about selling books for money is finding where to get them in the first place. But once you know where to look, you can be sure your sources will generally be pretty consistent. So where should you look? First, we suggest starting small. Is there a bookstore in your hometown that sells gently used books? Perhaps a thrift store you know of that regularly stocks pre-owned novels? Approach the owner of those shops and kindly, politely ask them what they do with any leftover books that aren’t sold and whether you can have them instead. They can’t say yes if you don’t ask!

You can also try looking at schools, churches, nursing homes, and similar places to see if they also have any books to donate. Ideally, you want to find places that will give you any unwanted books for free, but you can pay a minimal amount for them if you’re confident you can still make a profit when reselling them.

As you look around your hometown or even further out, you’ll also want to put the word out that you’re looking for gently used or even new books that are no longer wanted. Use social media to your advantage. Spread the word on Facebook and Twitter. You’d be amazed just what word of mouth can do for your business.

As you begin to sort through the books you receive, you’ll start to learn what books are more valuable than others. You’d also benefit from doing a bit of research to find out what’s popular at the moment, as well as what books are harder to find for a decent price online. You’d have much better luck selling a book for a fairly decent price that is hard to find elsewhere than you would trying to compete with dozens of other websites to market an incredibly popular book.

As for actually selling the book, Amazon and eBay are undoubtedly the two most popular websites to sell on. Again, do some research to come up with a reasonable price, while keeping in mind your selling point, competitors, shipping costs, and the time you spent putting it all together.

With a business like reselling books, it definitely has the potential to be just that: a business. But it takes time, practice, and a lot of research in order to become successful. If you’re hoping for a way to make some quick money, reselling used books certainly isn’t the way to go. But if you’re looking for a hobby that is also a source of income over time, reselling books just may be your new favorite thing to do.

Managing Your New Business

Once you really get going, your book selling will be more than just a side gig. With a full-fledged business on your hands, you want to be sure you stay organized, especially when it comes to your finances.

Like mentioned above, say you’re based in New York City. You have a myriad of accountants and bookkeepers to at your disposal to help keep your business and finances on track. Even if you’re across the world in Australia you can find a bookkeeper Waterloo based to help you stay organized.

Finding Success

Literally, anyone can make book selling work for them, no matter where they are located, as long as they’re willing to work for it. With proper research and organization, all it takes is a little time to get used to the process for your business to really take off. Plus, even if you are based in a small, lesser-known part of the world, you can sell books to anyone, no matter where they are located. If you truly enjoy reading books as much as I do, why not make money off them as well?
